Zawame Travel

Zawame Travel runs private, mid-range safaris across Kenya and Tanzania. The previous site had grown into a maze of near-duplicate itinerary pages, so the rebuild started with a structured audit and a list of thirty-three findings that each became a ticket in the codebase.

The new site is a statically generated Nuxt 4 application. Every itinerary is data, not a hand-written page: a small Python toolchain turns the operator's spreadsheets into itinerary JSON and renders a matching OpenGraph image for each one, so link previews on WhatsApp and social always show the right park at the right time of year.

Route maps for each safari are drawn with Leaflet on OpenStreetMap tiles, day by day, so a visitor can see how far Nairobi is from the Mara before they ask. Enquiries go through a Turnstile-protected form straight to the operator's inbox.
